Video conferencing has become a prominent way to stay in touch with friends, family, and coworkers. Yet our perception is still missing information. We don’t always pick up on vocal subtleties or facial expressions and can’t focus on all of the screens at once. Virtually hanging out has become an abstract of its physical counterpart. These painting explore the different emotional responses to isolation and the lack of connection that we are left with through this form of digital communication. One Zoom leads to another.
