Tiara Grayson’s work is developed from images seen in a hypnogogic period between wake and sleep. Suffering from insomnia, she uses found objects and abstraction to capture the fleeting scenes of an unknown universe. Geometric shapes bridge her conscious and subconscious mind.
“Universally In Sync is a response to the melody, the energy, the harmonies that make up the sonata as a whole. The title refers to a hope for the future. An idealism of we as humans being universally in sync,” Grayson explains. “The images I saw [when listening to the music] were nonstop, they were overwhelming to be honest. I definitely saw a lot of color. I definitely saw a lot of triangles. My images were definitely an inspiration.”
